How it started

We created an account on on OnlyFans called OnlyMarms to hopefully get some donations to support our research, but also to maybe attract some media attention and reach ou to the public in a new and creative way.

Following sever budget cuts in research and science in general in the US, our long-term research project started to be threatened by lack of funding. After watching the hit show “Margot got money troubles” Pr Daniel Blumstein said maybe we should to an OnlyFans account, … but G-rated with marmot content only. We all agreed and after some discussions onwhat to publish and struggles to get approved by OnlyFans, here we are.

The OnlyMarms account attracted some donations but what we never expected was the amount of media attention we got. It went viral fast. Here is but a subset on media coverage we got and interviews we gave (a simple search “onlymarms on onlyfans” on the web retrieve hundreds of appropriate links from media coverage throughout the world)

The meme coin

It has been a crazy ride since we started OnlyMarms. The media attention has been intense and worldwide.
